1968 Ford Mustang Convertible

Title: 1968 Mustang Convertible Nice Car!!!
Mileage: 62,387 miles
Location: Celina, Ohio

A 1968 Mustang Convertible. It has a straight 6 and has an automatic tranmission and power top. It is not a show car but looks good and would not take a lot to restore. The back window is gone out of the top and has a front seal leaking on the trans. The car can be driven as is and fun to drive around town. The interior is decent and the back seat could use some new padding. Beside that it starts right up and has basically been sitting inside the garage for 4 years. There seems to me minimal rust on the car. Tires are in excellent shape

1968 Ford Mustang Convertible

Title: 1968 Mustang Convertible Show Car
Mileage: 71,000 miles
Location: Clinton Corners, NY

This is a '68 Mustang convertible. I have owned it for 5 years. I purchased her from a retired Ford employee in the Chicago area, who owned it for over 25 years.
She is now a freshly detailed trophy winning show car, ready for you to enjoy. The car has just won 2nd place at the first show entered into this season, having 14 67/68 Mustangs in the class! She is also used in a feature film called "Taking Woodstock". The film will be released in August '09. The movie is about the Woodstock concert in 1969. The car was also used in a Mastercuts hair salon poster ad last summer.
Now about the car. She has a number of options including: Power steering, Power top, Turn signal hood, Automatic transmission, Console, Luggage rack, Factory Chrome wheels, Wheel lip moldings, and Fog lights. The previous owner installed a period correct cruise control unit, and it works. The drivetrain is original and has only 71,000 miles. She has a "C" code 289 2 bbl that runs well, and drives comfortably. It doesn't smoke, and runs cool in the summer. I replaced the shocks and springs so that there will be a better ride.
The paint is the original color of Brittany Blue and looks great, but is older. There is a minor scratch or two that have been touched up. Overall, it shows very well. The body panels and floors are original to the car. There is a small amount of undercoating on the floors, but you can see the quality of the whole car in the photo's. I can take other photo's if needed.
All of the chrome is in great shape. Anything that was not show quality was replaced.
The 2 tone Blue interior is in new condition, with new carpet and new floor mats. The seat covers have no rips or wear. The insides of the doors and the rear seat trim is freshly painted. The power top works as it should and the rear window is clear.

1968 Ford Mustang Shelby

Title:
1968 Shelby GT 350 Convertible clone

Mileage:
75,875 miles

Location:
Lakeland, FL

1968 Shelby GT350 Convertible recreation The car started life as a C code 1967 mustang convertible, with 302 automatic, power steering, power top and manual brakes. The car is now a Recreation of the 1968 Shelby GT350 convertible, it has all the hard work done and is very close to being ready for paint. I will start with the body, it has new quarter panels, and floor pans where replaced, all the rust was repaired and the body just needs some minor prep work for paint. All the Shelby parts are Fiberglass from Branda and are lined up nice, but again will need minor adjustments before final paint. It has new front and rear bumpers and I have the trim for the headlights, but you will need a Shelby grill. The brakes where gone threw and new gas tank was installed. The motor is a 302 that runs great, does not smoke or use oil and starts right up. It has new Flowmaster duel exhaust that is turned down before the rear valance. The wheels are correct for the Shelby with nice matching set of tires. The interior has new carpet, front and rear seat covers and door panels. The convertible top was replaced with new pads and plastic rear window. The top is power and works fine but is not hooked up to the switch on the dash yet. The lower part of the roll bar is welded in place, but the top part can be removed if needed. The steering wheel is from a real Shelby, it is not a repro! There are some things you will need to finish the car like install the door glass, the regulators are in the doors the rear are in place. The car will need all soft seals replaced. The tail lights are not hooked up yet and not all the gauges are working in the dash. Power top switch needs to be hooked up. and the fog lights are not working. There is also a small power steering leak. I'm sure there are some odds and ends you will need but all the hard work has been done.

1968 Classic Mustang

A1968 Ford Mustang. This classic features a 289 V8 with a Automatic transmission. This car is solid especially underneath. Some surface rust in the trunk but not eaten through. The interior is good with no tears or excessive ware, the carpet is faded but not torn. Headliner is good shape as well. All interior lights and gauges work. All in all the interior is in good shape for the year model. The exterior is gold with a black vinyl top, the paint is a little dull but would not need to be repainted if you are looking for a driver. The engine starts right up and has a nice smooth sound. It has a dual exhaust with quiet sound. The way this entire drive train moves this classic is very impressive. The chrome is in good shape with the exception of one spot on the front bumper. This car has loads of potential and you will not be dissapointed. Note: the car has an A/C bracket but no compressor. Has an A/C dash but no A/C boxes on firewall. Would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere. Car drives straight and no pull in brakes. Cranks EVERYTIME.

1968 Ford Shelby GT 350 Mustang

Up for auction , 1968 Ford Shelby Mustang GT 350 Vintage Hertz Rent A Racer?

From the Legendary Mustang Ranch in Golden, Colorado.

The Shelby Registry says about #01092, Hertz car, Shipped to George Busby Ford Inc Nashville, TN 2-9-68 For pre delivery prep for Hertz. Present owner unknown. I had purchased the car in 2001 from the owner in Compton, CA. He had the car covered up and chained to the house because someone had tried to steal it. He was in the process of restoring the car. All of the front / rear suspension, brakes, headliner and windshild seals were rebuilt or replaced. The car when he got it already had the lowered Shelby upper control arm conversion and rear end drop with traction bars. He was told the car was road raced and had an electrical fire. I have noticed that the harness had been repaired or replaced with another used harness not after market. Some one has swaped out the tilt / swing away steering for a straight solid shaft with a manual steering control arm and 67 steering wheel. The 9 inch 31 spline rear end, disc brakes and big sway bar are there. I rebuilt the non numbers matching 302 engine with the componants I was given with the car. 12:1 pistons and a performance camshaft. Some one had already swaped the pedels out for a 4 speed so that is what I put back in it. I used good quality parts on the rebuild but I do not have an engine build sheet, "sorry". The car runs and drives but there is no exhaust system other than the headers. It has its origional floor pans, torque boxes, quarter panels, frame rails and engine bay sheet metal. How ever the front radiator support has been replaced. There are no signs of heavy colision to this car so some one can continue in turning it into a road racer or back on the street, your choice. There are no wholes or removed welded areas where you see somtimes on a race car things added or removed. It is realy hard to tell what track time if any this car has. There is verry little rust in the toe kick area on the drivers floor pan and some misolamious spots on the car but nothing catistrophic. All of the fasback fiberglass and trim is there. There are boxes of misolanious parts that belong to the car and a pair of 67 bucket seats.

The fender flairs you see are of the old tooling. When you look at them you can tell that some one had the proper tools and talent to add them to the car. The hood has been swaped out at one time or another because it is off of a KR it has the inside air directional scoupe for the ram air air cleaner. There is no guarentee or warrenty of what the car has or dose not have, or what the car is or is not, you decide. There is no title so you will need to go to Broadway title or another titling co. I will give a bill of sale.
