1971 Mach I 351 Ram Air Cobra Jet

Title: 1971 Mach I 351 Ram Air Cobra Jet

Mileage: 99,999 miles

Location: Culpeper, VA

A rare 1971 MACH I M-Code With 351 Cobra jet 4V engine Ram Air and other goodies. It has been freshly restored and is a real head turner with a C6 transmission and power steering. This particular model vehicle is the last of the true "muscle cars" as made popular by the original " Gone in 60 Seconds" and the James Bond movie "Diamonds are Forever" movies. The vehicle has been entered in many shows and anyone would be proud to show it, have in their collection, or drive it as a cruiser. Seldom do you see this vehicle in this condition anywhere. I have yet to see a '71 Mach I this nice in my area much lss anywhere else. Rarely see them as most have been wrecked and crushed long time ago. These cars continue to rise dramatically in price.

Special Features:

This vehicle has the very rare Ford factory Magnum Wheels (stamped Ford) and the rare Cobra Jet engine has the Boss 351 Aluminum manifold (spreadbore) and could easily be made in to a vary near Boss, as the block is the same and the 4 bolt main CJ.

Drive train:

The 351 CJ has been rebuilt and has less then 1000 miles on it. Is unique in that it has the very rare Boss 351 Intake manifold. The CJ engine has the proper markings with the 4 and the DOT indication on the heads for that engine. I have added a new Eldelbock performer 600 carburetor. The transmission is the C-6 automatic and was rebuilt. Most all the parts in the car have been replaced with new parts: exhaust system, brake system, steering gear, starter, alternator, battery, radiator, ETC. This car also has original factory air.

Exterior:

The vehicle has fresh paint with all the proper stripes. Frame and body panels are straight. There is no rust, pitting, or holes worth noting in the body or frame. The engine compartment and undercarriage is clean and has been painted. The trunk and floor pans are virtually unblemished. The paint and body is beautiful. Most of the rubber (seals) have been replaced. it has a new set of roof rail and quarter window seals. The rear spoiler is the original.

Interior:

The interior is the deluxe interior option with the highback seats, in black/vermillion red and has been completely redone including the seat foam, carpet, headliner and door panels. Dash and console are nice: original radio. the gauges work.

Wheels and Tires:

As mentioned above the car has the rare factory stamped Ford original Magnum 500 14" wheels (not aftermarket). The tires are new BF Goodrich Radial T/A'S.
