This early production (Sept 16, 1964) original 1965 Ford Mustang 2 + 2 fastback is quite a find for the serious collector. It has a strong 289 C code engine and a smooth shifting C-4 Cruise-O-Matic transmission with four wheel drum brakes. The flawless exterior has had one repaint in its original Wimbledon white color. The original red interior, which includes a fold down rear seat, is perfect and includes an AM radio. The car has near new white wall tires and period correct full tri-spinner hubcaps. The 1965 Mustang Fastback 2 + 2 was the most popular of the three models Ford offered with just 77,079 produced. This unmolested example has only 31,474 (believed to be from original) miles and would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
